What Phasttek does
Phasttek is an application development company. We design, build, and operate digital applications and services: the software itself, the backend services and data models behind it, and the operating work that keeps it available to the people who use it.
Our work covers consumer and business applications. Some are products we own and run ourselves. Others are developed for partner organizations that need an application built and kept running by a team that will stay responsible for it.
How we work
We keep our operating practices deliberately simple, because they have to survive contact with real users.
- Build for operations. Software is not finished when it ships. We design for the monitoring, backups, and support it will need once it is live.
- Own the release. The team that writes the software is the team that releases it and answers for it afterwards.
- Keep the record straight. Specifications, releases, and changes are written down, so decisions can be reviewed rather than remembered.
- Ship in small increments. Smaller releases are easier to verify, easier to reverse, and easier to explain.
